First of all I'd like to "enlighten" you with some curiosities regarding shipping in general - and in particular shipping from Sweden - which is where we're based, and were we ship from!

Sweden is a small country and we only have one major carrier service - Postnord. In a typical Swedish manner they usually provide an above average quality service, but it comes with a quite obnoxious price tag, especially for shipping internationally...

Once our orders are going abroad, Postnord have to rely on each country's carrier to actually deliver the mail once it has left the Swedish border. This has proven to not work so good at all times, and although we have always covered up for any lost shipments (we ship again until it gets there), this costs alot in both time and money for us so we have to find a better way here...

By default, shipments from Sweden to abroad does not come with a tracking number or insurance. This is important to know :). We can add insurance and a tracking number to any parcel we send - but Postnord will charge us the fashionable fee of 75 SEK (about $8) extra for each parcel, and if you ask me, this is too much to ship with tracking by default...

But it's obviously in our biggest interest that the orders we ship actually arrive safe & quick. If your order is going a long way - and especially if it's a large one - I really recommend you to select the "Add shipping insurance" option during checkout.

I'd also like to point out that we don't make any profit whatsoever on the shipping cost that we charge through our store. The shipping cost you pay goes straight to Postnord :). It's also covering our costs for packing material, stamp machine etc...

While I'm at it, I also like to raise a little warning regarding Economy deliveries. We have offered this delivery method for a little more than a year now I believe, and even though I'm not a big fan of it I'm keeping it beause it seems popular but you must be aware of that these deliveries can be painfully slow if they're going a long way (anywhere outside Europe). Please expect 4 weeks or even more unless you're from a more or less neighbouring country to Sweden :).

That's all for now but I will most like add more thoughts to this page before too long :P. Also I'm always up for discussing these matters, just shoot me an e-mail anytime! Cheers!
